Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 4, 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how [Starwares Worldwide, Inc.] (“Starwares,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and safeguards information when you visit starwaresww.com (including /wordpress/) and any pages, forms, or tools we provide (collectively, the “Site”). It also describes your choices and rights.

By using the Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1) What we collect

a) Information you provide directly

  • RFQ & Search forms: name, company, email, phone, job title, country/region, part numbers, quantities, program/end-use notes, and any message you include.
  • Contact & support: the contents of your message and any files you upload.
  • Newsletter sign-up: your email address and marketing preferences.
  • Checkout (if/when e-commerce is enabled): billing/shipping details; we use third-party payment processors so we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

b) Information collected automatically

  • Usage & device data: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring/exit pages, timestamps, page views, and general location (city/region level).
  • Cookies and similar technologies: to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure Site performance, and help prevent fraud.

c) Information from third parties

  • Service providers/partners: analytics platforms, email delivery/CRM tools, payment processors, hosting/security services, and (if enabled) advertising platforms.
  • Public/industry sources: aircraft and fastener catalogs or public vendor data to help resolve part numbers and improve search results.

2) How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide and improve the Site, search tools, and RFQ workflow.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide quotes, availability, and lead times.
  • Operate our business, including order processing, accounting, and compliance.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
  • Send communications, such as transactional notices and—if you opt in—newsletters and marketing.
  • Comply with law and enforce our terms, including export-control screening where applicable.

Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors): consent (e.g., marketing cookies), contract (to process RFQs/orders), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Site), and legal obligations.

3) Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to run the Site and understand usage. You can usually set your browser to refuse or delete cookies; doing so may affect Site functionality. If we deploy analytics (e.g., Google Analytics), those providers may set their own cookies and receive de-identified usage data to help us measure performance.

If you are in the EEA/UK, we only set non-essential cookies with your consent.

4) How we share information

We do not sell personal information.

We share information only with:

  • Service providers acting on our behalf (hosting, security, analytics, form/CRM, email delivery, payment processing, shipping/logistics).
  • Professional advisors (accountants, auditors, legal counsel) under confidentiality.
  • Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or security.
  • Business transferees in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (subject to this Policy).

We require service providers to use personal information only as instructed and to protect it appropriately.

5) Data retention

We keep information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including to meet legal, tax, and compliance requirements. Typical periods:

  • RFQs & customer communications: up to 7 years for operational/audit needs.
  • Web server logs: ~30–90 days for security and troubleshooting.
  • Newsletter lists: until you unsubscribe or we prune inactive addresses.
Actual retention may vary based on legal obligations and operational needs.

6) Your choices

  • Marketing email: click Unsubscribe in any message or contact us.
  • Cookies: manage in your browser; EEA/UK users can adjust consent settings where presented.
  • Do Not Track: we currently do not respond to DNT signals.

7) Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live (e.g., California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, and certain international jurisdictions such as the EEA/UK), you may have some or all of the following rights, subject to verification and exemptions:

  • Access/Know the personal information we hold about you.
  • Portability of certain information.
  • Correction of inaccurate information.
  • Deletion of information we no longer need (with exceptions).
  • Opt out of targeted advertising, the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (as defined by applicable law), and certain profiling.
  • Appeal a decision if we deny your request (where required).

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). We also do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of minors.
